About Dr Melissa White

Dr White completed her undergraduate training in 1985 at the University of Queensland and then completed her Physician/Gastroenterology training in 1993.

After graduating from the University of Queensland, Dr White undertook clinical training at the Royal Brisbane Hospital, Woden Valley Hospital, Canberra, and completed her gastroenterology training at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney.

She has been in private practice on the Sunshine Coast since 1994. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Physicians and a member of the Gastroenterology Society of Australia.

She is one of Queensland's most experienced Pillcam practitioners.

Dr White is also the most experienced Capsule endoscopist on the Sunshine Coast, having performed this for 18 years.

Capsule endoscopy is indicated in the investigation of Obscure GI bleeding and Unexplained Fe deficiency anaemia. She has specific interests in the diagnosis and management of Inflammatory Bowel Disease and Food Intolerances.
